Adam has over 10 years’ experience advising on all aspects of EU and UK competition law across a broad span of sectors including agriculture, building materials, chemical, infrastructure, energy, fast-moving consumer goods, financial services, information technology (IT), life sciences, media, technology and transport.
He has significant experience advising leading multinational companies, financial sponsors and private equity funds on the EU and UK merger control, EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation and associated foreign direct investment aspects of complex cross-border transactions and restructurings, as well as coordinating global merger control reviews across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America.
Additionally, Adam has acted in numerous high-profile antitrust investigations, guiding clients through all phases of EU cartel investigations and UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) market investigations.
Adam has a strong interest in the interaction between competition policy and other areas of regulatory policy such as financial services, FDI controls and intellectual property (IP) and regularly publishes on a broad range of competition law matters. He has been recognized by The Legal 500 as a key lawyer, in which he is noted as having “outstanding knowledge in competition law, especially merger control”.
