Tjade Stroband is Head of European Policy in Microsoft's European Government Affairs office. Based in Brussels, he leads Microsoft's European Policy Team that engages across all policy domains where emerging legislative and regulatory developments shape AI, cloud and digital innovation and customer adoption across Europe. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2022, Tjade has over fifteen years of public sector experience, working on competition, internal market, intellectual property and digital policies at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the EU and the European Commission's DG CONNECT. Tjade holds a MSc in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam (specialisation in Industrial Organisation).
