Back to the future: Returning to FundForum

Long-time supporters of FundForum may have noticed changes to our brand over the past few years and asked themselves why the name changes, and notably why have we returned back to FundForum? Here, Karima Haywood, Head of Strategic Content & Stakeholder Engagement, explores the context behind the changes.
When we introduced the IMpower brand in 2020, it reflected our view that the investment management industry was expanding and diversifying. We wanted a brand that brought together the different parts of the ecosystem, from traditional asset managers and ETF providers to wealth managers and emerging investment specialisms.
What we've seen since then is something even more significant. Rather than continuing to fragment, the industry is increasingly converging. The distinction between public and private markets is becoming less clear, wealth managers are offering access to both, and fund structures are evolving to meet a broader range of investor needs.
That's why we've returned to FundForum. At the heart of this convergence is the fund itself, which continues to connect managers, distributors and investors across both public and private markets. As the boundaries between these markets continue to blur, FundForum is the natural home for the conversations, partnerships and ideas shaping the future of the industry.
FundForum 2026 reinforced why the brand continues to resonate. With this year's event now behind us, our focus is firmly on the future: Delivering an even stronger FundForum in 2027 and growing the FundForum community globally through the launch of an exciting new event in Singapore this September.
