Dr. Matthias Müllenborn is Director of Public-Private Partnerships at Novo Nordisk, working with external innovation and research consortia to drive change in healthcare benefiting patients and society. Matthias is vice-chair of the Research & Innovation Strategy (RIS) Working Group at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) and member of the Advisory Board of ERA4Health. He holds a master’s in physics from the University of Münster in Germany, and a PhD from UCLA. Matthias has served as an Associate Professor at DTU Health Tech and CEO of a biotech spin-off of Sonion. From 2003 to 2017, he led product development at Oticon, focussing on new technology, bone anchored hearing instruments, and cochlear implants. With his extensive experience in managing complex projects, including NIH and EU-funded initiatives, Matthias is a seasoned leader in the intersection of healthcare innovation and technology.
