Todd is a real estate executive, developer and consultant with 25+ years of experience in all facets of the commercial real estate industry throughout Canada, including activities in the US and the EU.

He is currently VP – Land at Basin Heights, responsible for marketing and sales of the largest urban infill redevelopment project in Atlantic Canada. The new Ocean Breeze Village is a centrally located redevelopment project in Halifax NS containing 36 high-density, multi-residential development sites.

Todd is also the Principal at BEC Realty Advisors Inc., providing real estate development, advisory and consulting services to a variety of real estate organizations.

Between 2020 and 2023 Todd, along with partners in Germany, Luxembourg and Halifax, established the “RECan Global Canadian Real Estate Fund”, a Luxembourg-based investment fund targeting institutional and family-office capital in the EU for investments in Canadian real estate.

He was previously a senior executive for Cominar REIT where he was responsible for Cominar’s acquisitions/dispositions, asset management services and secured debt requirements in addition to executive management responsibilities. Todd joined Cominar in 2010 when it acquired Overland Realty Ltd., a public REOC, where he had been CFO since 2006.

Prior to joining Overland, Todd spent ten years in various real estate roles at Manulife and Maritime Life, including overseeing a commercial real estate portfolio, managing corporate real estate requirements, and mortgage origination throughout Canada.

He has been invited to speak at real estate conferences and seminars in numerous locations in Canada, the US, and Germany.
