Nicolas serves as the Head of Finance & ESG at Athlos Capital Investment Services, where he leads the firm’s ESG advisory function and oversees the strategic coordination and implementation of its sustainability agenda. He brings extensive expertise in greenhouse gas emissions estimation, applying methodologies from the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 categories. His experience includes setting science-based decarbonization targets aligned with climate scenarios and developing actionable strategies to achieve them. Prior to joining Athlos Capital, Nicolas held the position of Head of ESG at a systemic bank in Cyprus, where he was responsible for sustainable finance, green bond issuances, and sustainability disclosures in accordance with CSRD, TCFD, and GRI frameworks. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) with over six years of professional experience at a Big Four accounting firm, specializing in audit and advisory services. Nicolas has also led multiple long-term, cross-functional consulting engagements, including IFRS 17 implementation projects both in Cyprus and internationally.
