Just as the temperatures are heating up, so is news from the destination marketing world. Here is the latest in the eTourism world.
Jerrine Lee
Richmond Region Tourism
Jerrine Lee, who has seemingly done it at all Richmond Region Tourism, has been promoted to a newly created position of chief growth officer. In the role, she will focus on aligning the DMO’s marketing, sales, and visitor experience teams, integrating data and insights, and driving visitation through a unified growth strategy. The change supports the organization’s new strategic plan, which will be introduced in May.
Said Lee: “I look forward to building on our strengths and working alongside our all-star team and partners to grow tourism’s impact on our economy and community. This is an exciting place for residents and visitors alike – and we can’t wait to welcome even more people in the years ahead.”
Erik Kinkaid

Eric Kincaid, a familiar face in the hospitality and DMO world, has joined the Bermuda Tourism Authority as vice president of sales and business development. Kincaid brings a strong track record in destination marketing and convention sales, with leadership roles at Choose Chicago, Destination DC, and Marriott International. In his new role, he will lead the authority’s global sales and business development efforts, strengthening strategic partnerships and driving growth in group and business travel across key markets.
Sylvia Weiler Sojern
Sylvia Weiler is back at Sojern, the leading AI-powered travel marketing platform, as president and general manager of global destinations. The appointment completes a broader leadership restructure designed to scale Sojern’s three core verticals—Corporate, Property, and Destinations—following the successful unification of Sojern and Adara in March.
A travel industry veteran, Weiler previously played a key role in building Sojern’s destination business from the ground up. She returns to the company following senior leadership tenures at Zartico (as Chief Revenue Officer), Tripadvisor, and Airbnb.
Said Weiler: “We are navigating an increasingly complex and competitive landscape, where access to the most sophisticated travel-intent data, combined with AI-driven personalization and transparent measurement, enables our partners not just to reach travelers, but to influence decisions with precision and confidence at scale. I’m energized to lead this next chapter and deliver even greater impact for our partners globally.”
