With nearly two decades of private banking experience, Lillian Liao has built an extensive career advising ultra-high-net-worth families across North and Southeast Asia. She currently leads the Singapore and Malaysia Private Banking business and serves as Asia South Head of Investment Counselors at Citi Private Bank, driving strategic growth while delivering tailored wealth management solutions to sophisticated clients.

Prior to her current role, Lillian led Citi Private Bank’s China business in Singapore for four years, focusing on wealth structuring, cross-booking-centre advisory, and multi-generational wealth planning for Chinese entrepreneurs and global families.

Before joining Citi Private Bank in 2021, Lillian spent over a decade at Credit Suisse, where she rose to Managing Director and Senior Client Partner. She advised ultra-high-net-worth clients from Greater China and international markets, specializing in family office advisory, pre-and post-IPO wealth planning, investment portfolio management, and bespoke wealth structuring solutions.

Lillian began her private banking career at UBS Hong Kong, where she developed a strong foundation in wealth management and client advisory.

Based in Singapore with her husband and two sons, she is passionate about travel, yoga, culinary exploration, and immersing herself in diverse cultures around the world.

Lillian holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Qingdao University.
