Yamazaki is a Team Leader of the Corporate and Managerial Accounting Team at Mitsubishi Corporation, where he is responsible for group-wide financial reporting, accounting policy, and the aggregation and disclosure of budgeting and closing results.

He joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2005 and began his career in the Energy Administration Department, where he worked on oil and natural gas-related businesses. He later moved to the Corporate Accounting Department, where he contributed to the company’s transition to IFRS and engaged in accounting, audit, and financial reporting functions. He has also held overseas assignments in New York and Houston, focusing on corporate accounting and financial management. Since returning to the Corporate Accounting Department in 2023, he has been involved in company-wide budgeting and closing processes, as well as the adoption of new IFRS standards. He has been serving in his current role since April 2025.
