Liza McAndrew Moberg is the Director of Regulatory Policy at the IFRS Foundation, supporting engagement with regulatory authorities about sustainability reporting.
Liza previously held senior positions with regulators responsible for financial reporting and audit in the U.S. capital markets. As director of the Office of International Affairs of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Liza led the PCAOB’s coordination with authorities around the world on audit firm supervision and enforcement, bilaterally and through the International Forum of Independent Auditor Regulators. Previously, Liza was senior adviser to the director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of International Affairs, addressing financial reporting policy affecting non-U.S. companies listed in U.S. markets, including use of IFRS Accounting Standards. She joined the SEC as a professional accounting fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant's International Affairs group.
Prior to her regulatory roles, Liza spent over a decade in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s assurance practice. Her audit experience began in Silicon Valley and continued in Europe, serving one of the firm’s largest audit clients. Liza later consulted on complex accounting and reporting matters as a senior manager in PwC's national office, specializing in U.S. GAAP and IFRS. She is a certified public accountant (California) and a graduate of Santa Clara University.
