Jon has over 20 years of experience developing business and leading teams to provide exceptional client service. He is an experienced finance professional who values relationships over transactions and will always seek to help others and give back to the community. At Aprio, Jon oversees a team of industry professionals providing best-in-class service through cutting-edge technology. He and his team specialize in mid- to large-sized, vertically integrated commercial real estate companies across the U.S. and have experience serving all asset classes and ownership structures.

EXPERIENCE

Jon specializes in accounting services for owners and operators of commercial real estate. Having spent half his career providing these services and the other half in industry, he is particularly skilled at understanding his clients’ perspectives and assuring the firm provides the right services to meet and exceed expectations. Jon has successfully led dozens of transformation projects, assuring smooth transitions, aligned expectations, and exceptional results. Additionally, he has developed and launched multiple new service offerings to meet the evolving market needs around ASC 842, NCREIF, and more.

EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS

Jon earned a Bachelor of Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northern Illinois University. He has served on numerous advisory boards, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is a licensed CPA in Illinois.
