Spencer joined SS&C Global Investor and Distribution Solutions in July 2020 and had responsibility for client management across the International business. Subsequently Spencer also took over as CEO of the UK Platform business, growing the business 37% pa.

Since March 2026 Spencer was appointed as the CEO, Head of Europe. Spencer’s focus is on leading the business strategy and governance across the region and across the three key segments: asset management, wealth management and insurance.

Spencer is part of the Global Executive Management team for GIDS, this role holds end-to-end responsibility for the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg and the associated risk and legal entities. Spencer has responsibility for driving growth, managing client relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance. He is leading a business which currently generates revenues of circa $650 million and has 3,800 people
