Dr Kristin-Anne Rutter leads the development and delivery of a collaborative strategy for the Cambridge UK life sciences cluster, focusing on bringing in global investment, together with industry or government partnerships, attracting the world’s best talent and creating a globally significant pool of patient data to drive innovation and AI.

The strategic aim of Cambridge University Health Partners is to create the best possible environment for making new scientific discoveries, demonstrating that they work in real-world populations and then delivering them rapidly and at scale.

To boost collaboration and innovation, Kristin-Anne is delivering on major programmes, including work to develop new global industry partnerships tackling the next generation of AI healthcare tools, and running the UK’s largest Secure Data Environment, which helps researchers and AI developers access NHS data across Eastern England. Kristin-Anne also recently advised the UK government on how to develop the National Health Service into a testbed for global innovation.

Prior to joining Cambridge University Health Partners, Kristin-Anne was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where she founded the McKinsey Health Tech Network, bringing together the most innovative technology and digital solution providers, and supporting them to deploy in health systems.

Kristin-Anne has a first-class MA in Neuroscience from Cambridge UK, an MB BChir in medicine with distinction from Cambridge UK and an MBA with high distinction from Harvard USA.
