Abdurrahman Yazici
Islamic Finance Advisor at Istanbul International Centre for Private Sector Development, UNDP


Dr. Yazici working at the Istanbul International Centre for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD), Islamic Finance Portfolio as a Islamic Finance Advisor. He received Ph. D. from Istanbul University on Islamic Law. He has Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Shariah. He has undertaken various studies concerning different modern and classical subjects of Islamic law, Islamic economy and finance.

Dr. Yazici worked as a faculty member in Faculty of Islamic Studies at Social Sciences University of Ankara between 2018 and 2021. He worked as a full time research economist at the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) between 2016 and 2018. 

He studied in Damascus Institute for Arabic Language and Literature in Syria (2004) and studied in Georg-Gottingen University in Germany (2008) and Warwick University, Economics (2010). He is a member of the Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) Fellowship under auspices of Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).

His research fields cover Islamic Finance, Corporate/hariah Governance, Islamic Financial Standards and Regulation.
