Andy is an entrepreneurial life science professional with over 17 years of experience bridging academic research and commercial drug discovery. Currently serving as Director of Business Development & Therapeutic Translation at the Monash University Boston Hub, he connects Monash’s innovation pipeline with the North American and European biotech ecosystems.
Before joining Monash, Andy served as Director of Biomolecular Sciences and Lead Discovery at Remix Therapeutics, where he led small molecule initiatives and advanced a splicing modulator into a development candidate for Huntington’s disease. Previously, as part of the seed-stage team at 28-7 Therapeutics, he helped optimize chemical matter for a novel oncology program originating from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Earlier in his career, he led a joint Broad Institute–Bayer Healthcare project translating cardiovascular GWAS findings into therapeutic programs, and began his industry journey as a founding scientist at TargAnox, a Brigham and Women’s Hospital spinout.
Andy completed NIH-funded postdoctoral training on DNA damage responses at the Wistar Institute and holds a PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He remains an active mentor in the Boston biotech startup community through organizations like LabCentral.
