Dr. Charlotte Kopitz is Site Head Berlin at Nuvisan (ALS), where she leads the CRO Discovery business spanning target validation through preclinical candidate discovery. She oversees cross-functional scientific and operational teams delivering integrated discovery services for pharma and biotech clients, with a focus on generating decision-ready data, accelerating timelines, and enabling robust go/no-go decisions.

Charlotte directs a broad portfolio of discovery programs in oncology and beyond, integrating in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, translational biology, bioanalysis and DMPK interfaces to ensure high-quality, reproducible outcomes. She is particularly focused on building scalable, client-centric ways of working—strengthening governance, scientific communication, and fit-for-purpose execution across multidisciplinary teams.

With extensive industry leadership experience, including more than a decade at Bayer Pharma R&D, Charlotte has led several drug discovery projects from target validation up to guidance of clinical trials for SMOLs as well as BMOLs and later assumed responsibility for Pharmacology at the Innovation Campus Berlin, supporting its successful transition to Nuvisan. Alongside scientific leadership, she has held enterprise roles as Inclusion & Diversity Advisor for Bayer Pharma R&D and as a member of the Global Animal Welfare Committee.

Charlotte earned her PhD in metastasis research at the Technical University of Munich and completed postdoctoral training in experimental oncology and therapeutic research at Klinikum Rechts der Isar.
