Ester Caffarel-Salvador, PhD, is Director of Strategic Innovation within Global Rare Diseases at Chiesi, where she focuses on external innovation, partnering, and the evaluation of emerging therapeutic modalities. Drawing on experience spanning industry, venture ecosystems, startups, and academia, she identifies and assesses opportunities that could advance treatments for patients with rare diseases. Ester is an MIT Technology Review Innovator Under 35, recognized for her work on oral biologic delivery technologies at MIT, and a Queen’s University Leader honoree.
