Ebrar Akdeniz is a Research Associate and doctoral candidate in Medical Device Regulatory Science at the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health, TU Dresden. With an academic background in psychology (MSc), she focuses her research on cybersecurity regulation of medical devices within the EU context. As part of the CYMEDSEC project and related EU initiatives, she examines how digital health technologies fit within existing regulatory frameworks, particularly regarding cybersecurity requirements and their practical implementation. Her work includes designing and conducting stakeholder surveys and Delphi studies to build expert consensus on regulatory priorities and emerging challenges in medical device cybersecurity.
