Shane Chesson

Shane co-founded Openspace in 2014 and is based in Singapore. He is a member of the Openspace Ventures, Openspace Growth, Orbit, Ocular Web3 Funds Investment Committees and our Executive Committee.

Previously, he was in several leadership roles in investment banking, including as Managing Director and Co-Head, Technology Investment Banking at Citigroup Asia-Pacific. Earlier, Shane was at Merrill Lynch, Bain & Company and GEM Consulting.

Shane is the Vice Chairman of the Singapore Venture and Private Capital Association (SVCA) and Chairman of the Investment Committee for Aidha Accelerator, working with female migrant workers on entrepreneurship opportunities.

He holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD and an LLB and Bachelor's of Commerce in Law and Finance from the University of Western Australia
