Maurits Boomsma is Managing Partner and head of the IC of Rivean Capital, the European mid-market private equity firm. Before his appointment he was Senior Partner at Rivean Capital BV, where he has been an investment professional since 2004, when the firm still operated under the name Gilde Buy Out Partners.

Rivean Capital is a leading European private equity investor in mid-market transactions, active in the Benelux, the DACH region and Italy. Since its inception in 1982, Rivean has supported more than 250 companies in realizing their growth ambitions. Funds advised by Rivean Capital manage over EUR 5 billion in assets, and the firm has offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

Over his career at Rivean, Maurits has built an extensive investment track record across the Benelux and beyond. Investments span a range of sectors and include Enstall (mounting systems for solar panels), XD Connects(BtB provider of customized business gifts), Storio (E-commerce in photobooks and other photo products), STAEDEAN (ERP software), Intero Integrity Services (pipeline inspection services and emission monitoring), Valcon (AI & IT consultancy and services) and Koninklijke TenCate (industrial conglomerate for advanced materials), as well as TAS (software for financial institutions) in Italy.

Maurits holds a MSc in economics & finance from the University of Groningen.
