Rabih Kanaan advises and supports the Treasurer in leading a global team responsible for managing IFC’s financial position, safeguarding its triple-A credit rating and maintaining its standing as a premier player in sustainable finance and global capital markets. More broadly, Rabih plays a central role in the delivery of IFC’s strategy to creating markets and mobilizing private capital for development, providing financial solutions for clients, and promoting the development of local capital markets.
Rabih also provides expertise on matters pertaining to ESG Integration into Treasury operations. Prior to taking the role of Adviser, Rabih served as a Financial Officer in the Treasury Client Solutions team covering Latin America, focused on helping clients access local currency financing and providing structured finance solutions in emerging markets. Rabih has also worked in various capacities at IFC including a role with the Executive Vice President’s office promoting solutions linking investment operations to Treasury offerings as well as with the Credit and Counterparty Risk team overseeing Treasury operations. Rabih holds a Master of Science in Finance from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Lebanese American University
