The Energy Supply Strategies & Allocation Policies course uses an applied, case-led methodology rather than a single proprietary framework. Learning is built around real case studies such as energy allocation in KSA and electricity sector modernisation, alongside policymaker role-play, group exercises and breakout activities. A final group project consolidates everything into a complete energy supply and allocation strategy.

To receive an Informa Connect Academy Certificate of Completion you must meet two criteria: attend all course sessions, missing no more than two hours of instruction, and successfully complete the course assessment, which is ongoing and based on in-class participation and activities. Delegates who do not meet both criteria receive a Certificate of Attendance stating the number of hours attended.

The Energy Supply Strategies & Allocation Policies course is structured in three parts: foundations of energy supply and allocation, the technical and economic dimensions of energy supply, and global energy markets and strategic implementation. Topics include energy pricing, subsidies and taxation, production plans and facilities, grid modernisation and smart grid technologies, renewable integration, energy trading and risk management, and future trends such as hydrogen and alternative energy.

The course is highly practical and activity-based. You will take part in a policymaker role-play to draft energy allocation policies for KSA, critique real energy supply strategies, and complete breakout activities designing an energy allocation model and a renewable energy integration plan. An individual exercise on production-plan analysis and a final group project on a comprehensive energy strategy round out the applied learning.

The Energy Supply Strategies & Allocation Policies course is available as live and in-person training, and is offered in both English and Arabic. It runs across multiple locations including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. You can review current sessions on the upcoming dates and locations.

You are required to bring your own laptop to every session, as it is used throughout the course for exercises and activities.
