The course uses an applied, case-led methodology rather than a single proprietary framework. Learning is built around real case studies (energy allocation in KSA and electricity sector modernisation), group exercises, policymaker role-play and breakout activities such as designing an energy allocation model and a renewable integration plan. A final group project consolidates a complete energy supply and allocation strategy.

The course is structured in three parts: foundations of energy supply and allocation, the technical and economic dimensions of energy supply, and global energy markets and strategic implementation. Topics include energy pricing, subsidies and taxation, production plans and facilities, smart grid technologies, energy trading and risk management, and future trends such as hydrogen and alternative energy.
