Matthieu joined BNP Paribas AM in 2023 as Head of Private Equity Secondaries.

From 2013 to 2023, Matthieu was a Managing Director at Northleaf Capital Partners, a global private markets investment firm. In this position, Matthieu played an instrumental role in launching the global private equity secondaries program which grew to $4bn in AUM over his 10-year tenure. Matthieu also expanded Northleaf’s primary and co-investment activities in Europe and chaired the Private Equity ESG Committee. Prior to joining Northleaf, Matthieu co-founded PEFOX, a secondaries advisor for private markets. Matthieu began his career at Pantheon Ventures. Between 2005 and 2010, Matthieu was part of Pantheon Ventures’ secondaries team in London, responsible for sourcing, evaluation and negotiation of LP-led and GP-led secondary transactions across Europe, North America and Asia.

Matthieu has an M.Sc. in Financial Engineering from the Sorbonne University and a B.Sc. in Management Science & Finance from Dauphine University.
