Andrew Ord is a Managing Director at Greystar, where he leads the build-to-rent ("BTR") and BTR/multifamily hybrid platform nationally, overseeing both development and investments. On the development side, Andrew and his team support Greystar-owned developments across every phase — strategy, underwriting, entitlements, design, construction, and best practices. On the investment side, Andrew directs the sourcing, underwriting and execution of BTR forward-fund and forward-purchase transactions with third-party developers and contractors, and partners with Greystar's investment teams to bring institutional capital into the sector.

Before building Greystar's national BTR platform, Andrew served as a Managing Director for Development, overseeing all phases of development for more than 8,400 Class-A and active adult units and 120,000 square feet of retail across the Central North U.S. region, spanning sourcing, underwriting, entitlement, and delivery. He is a frequent contributor and speaker at industry events. Andrew has held a California Real Estate Broker license and was a licensed General Contractor in Utah.

Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, with concentrations in finance and real estate, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in construction management from Brigham Young University.
