Matthew BurtonFounder & CEO at Rescue Cooling RentalsSpeaker
Profile
Matthew Burton is the Founder and CEO of Rescue Cooling Rentals, an emergency HVAC company built around a simple belief: a broken AC should not automatically become a hotel bill. Rescue Cooling partners with leading single-family rental and multifamily operators to keep residents safely at home by deploying and installing temporary cooling while permanent repairs are underway.
Matthew believes the next frontier in property operations isn't better HVAC systems—it's better contingency planning. As weather becomes more extreme and supply chains remain unpredictable, temporary cooling is evolving from an emergency expense into an operational capability. Today, Rescue Cooling operates across 17 major U.S. metros, helping institutional owners turn one of property management's most stressful resident experiences into a repeatable operational process.
Prior to founding Rescue Cooling, Matthew was Director of Strategy at United Rentals and a consultant with Bain & Company, where he advised corporate and private equity clients on growth strategy. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, is an active member of YPO, and is a frequent speaker on resident experience, emergency maintenance operations, and equipment rental strategy.
Outside of work, Matthew and his family operate Hive Riot Honey Company, a commercial honey farm in North Texas. Ask him whether it's harder to manage thousands of portable AC units... or several million honeybees.
