Dr John Preedy brings over 28 years of BP experience as a Research Associate, Team Leader, and designated "troubleshooter" across the complete project lifecycle – from feasibility studies through field pilot trials.
Unlike purely academic instructors, he has hands-on experience managing North Sea field developments, evaluating Production Sharing Agreements, conducting technical-economic audits, and advancing cutting-edge technologies (subsea robotics, FPSO systems, deepwater production) from concept to implementation. His unique combination of technical depth and commercial acumen – gained from solving BP's most complex cross-functional challenges – is complemented by proven teaching excellence as a regular lecturer at Cranfield University (UK), TU Delft (Netherlands), and as Visiting Professor at the Technical University of Malaysia. Students learn from someone who has actually lived every phase of the project lifecycle at one of the world's supermajor oil companies and can translate that real-world experience into practical, immediately applicable knowledge.
