14:00 - 16:00
Date: September 16, 2026 | Course 2: Finance Journey Optimization & Scaling
This course focuses on the transition of GTN execution to optimization, with emphasis on cross-functional GTN alignment and operational scaling. Recognizing that GTN failure is often an organizational alignment failure first, attendees will learn how to build scalable governance structures, establish clear RACI ownership, design commercialization workflows, and leverage technology for real-time insights and efficiencies. We'll discuss topics like:
- Channel and benefit complexity – learning how to understand buy-and-bill vs. Pharmacy benefit, medical vs. Pharmacy benefit dynamics, site-of-care impact, and how these influence commercialization workflows
- Scaling GTN for emerging pharma – how to address multi-product considerations, new therapeutic entry, portfolio vs. product-level concepts, and establish commercialization accountability across the organization
- GTN governance and operating models – establish RACI ownership structures, escalation workflows, launch readiness governance, shared vs. embedded team models, and design governance structures that improve organizational alignment and reduce launch friction
- Data and transaction architecture – explore NDC-11 vs. Product-level monitoring, claims data, sell-in vs. Sell-out dynamics, inventory management, and 3PM considerations to create enterprise visibility structures
- BPO to active surveillance – how to transition from traditional outsourcing to real-time monitoring, manage vendor ecosystems effectively, and build KPI accountability systems
- Accrual and balance sheet integrity – how to align claims data to financials and improve the reliability of your processes
- Emerging technology enablement – utilize analytics platforms, automation and real-time visibility for GTN optimization
- Lean finance concepts and integration – how to redesign processes to eliminate inefficiencies, improve data flow, build an optimized operating model with clear escalation structures, and understand that organizational structure is foundational to profitability strategy
