Michael is a Senior Managing Director in the Office of the CFO at Cetera Financial Group, where he leads corporate development, M&A, and succession planning. Prior to Cetera, he held a similar role at Avantax, serving on both the finance leadership team and the wealth management senior leadership team.Earlier in his career, Michael worked on Wall Street as a buy-side investor, investment banker, and sell-side equity analyst, and began his career as a strategy consultant and CPA in public accounting. He has experience at firms including Goldman Sachs, Accenture, and Arthur Andersen.Michael holds an MBA in finance from The University of Chicago, an MS in decision science from The London School of Economics and a BS in accounting from Rutgers University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and previously earned his CPA and CMA (Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant), though now inactive.
