William Rassano is an economist with The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, where he co-authors The Inland Edge, the firm's macroeconomic publication for senior leadership, and advises the firm on its equity management strategy. He has spent more than three decades in markets, beginning on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and later as a broker with R.J. O'Brien & Associates. In 1994 he co-founded a brokerage and trading firm, Trident Trading Corporation, where he worked as a technical trader and broker before joining Inland in 2000. At Inland he has served as Vice President of Distressed Assets, a portfolio manager, and then Chief Investment Strategist of Inland Investment Advisors, the firm's wealth management arm. His work centers on interest rates, credit conditions, and how both transmit into commercial real estate; spanning securities portfolios and property. He is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University.
