Alex Hernandez is Founder and CEO of PowerBridge, a company developing powered data center campuses, beginning in West Texas. PowerBridge is backed by Five Point Infrastructure.

Alex previously founded and led Cumulus Data, which developed the first hyperscale data center campus directly connected to carbon-free nuclear power. The Pennsylvania campus was later acquired by Amazon Web Services in March 2024. Concurrently, from 2016 to 2023, Alex served as CEO of Talen Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: TLN), one of the country's largest independent power producers.

Earlier roles include CFO of TerraForm Power (NASDAQ: TERP) and Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. He previously served on the Board of Directors of ERCOT, which manages the flow of electric power to 27 million Texas customers and 90 percent of the state's electric load, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Target Hospitality (NASDAQ: TH).

He holds a B.A. in Economics from Rice University, a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
